Gaming Floor and What Is Running
Our casino is based inside the Fountain Park leisure complex at 124 Dundee Street, Edinburgh, EH11 1AF. The gaming floor is set up as a full-service casino, not a cut-down branch of a larger site. On the live side we spread American Roulette, Blackjack and Texas Hold’em Poker, all dealt by trained croupiers in line with industry standards.
If you prefer to stay on terminals, we run HYDRA E-Table roulette positions alongside 37 slot machines. Those slots operate with a stated minimum return-to-player of 90%, which is in line with usual UK market practice.
Doors open every day from 12:00. Live table play starts later, at 16:00, so an early afternoon arrival will mean machines and electronic roulette are active but traditional tables are not yet in motion.
Closing hours vary slightly. On most nights we are open through until 05:00, although some midweek sessions finish earlier. Third-party listings can be out of date, so the most reliable check is still a call to us on +44 (0)131 228 4446 before you set off.

One practical tip that works in almost any casino - take a few minutes to walk the floor when you arrive. Look at how the tables are running, see where you feel comfortable, and only then decide where you want to sit down and start playing.
Poker Room
Our cardroom focuses on Texas Hold’em and runs cash games seven days a week. During the year we host regular tournaments, plus larger scheduled events that pull in players from across Edinburgh and further afield. We are listed on PokerAtlas as an active Edinburgh poker room, which reflects how the venue is viewed within the wider poker community.
Getting into a game is straightforward in practice.
- At the entrance, show valid photo ID - the minimum age is 18.
- After entry, head to the cardroom desk on the main floor.
- Ask the floor team what cash stakes are running and what tournament buy-ins are open.
- If seats are full, add your name to the waiting list and stay nearby.
- When you are called, swap cash for chips either at the table or at the cashier desk.
- For tournaments, double-check start time and the structure sheet with the floor manager.
- Take a look at the promotions board by the cardroom for poker offers or upcoming special events.
We use Twitter at @gentingfp for updates on schedule changes, series events and any short-notice adjustments. For regular poker players that feed is often the quickest way to see what is happening on a given night.
Bar, Sports and Everything Around the Games
Our bar opens daily from 12:00 and normally closes about 30 minutes before the casino shuts. In the bar area we have a 90-inch HD screen where we show major sports fixtures, plus booth seating for groups who want to follow a match with food or drinks. The space works as a stand-alone sports bar environment, separate from the tables and slots but available to everyone inside the venue.
Food on site is served through the Fahrenheit Restaurant, which focuses on Scottish dishes and is noted in local listings as an award-winning dining option within Fountain Park. Public sources do not specify the exact awarding body, but the restaurant appears consistently in Edinburgh entertainment write-ups. Group bookings and corporate functions are handled directly by the venue team as standard industry practice.
