Live Table Games on the Floor
At Fountain Park our live tables switch on at 4pm every day, giving you a clear evening window whether you want a quick visit after work or you are staying deep into the night. The building itself opens at midday, so if you arrive earlier than four, slots and electronic terminals are already active and available. From 4pm the live dealer games take over a good part of the room - roulette, blackjack, poker and baccarat all start dealing from that point.
We are based inside the wider Fountain Park leisure complex at 124 Dundee Street, Edinburgh, EH11 1AF. That puts us close to Haymarket and straightforward to reach from most areas of the city by public transport or taxi. The gaming floor usually runs through to somewhere between 4am and 5am, depending on the night, so in terms of opening hours we sit among the later-running venues in Edinburgh by a comfortable margin.
On the tables you will find American Roulette, Blackjack, Texas Hold’em Poker, Three Card Poker and Baccarat. Every table is run by trained dealers and they all follow the same 4pm start for live play. For anyone who prefers to set their own pace, our HYDRA E-Table roulette terminals mirror the roulette format in an electronic layout, and those are ready to use from midday rather than waiting for the live session.
| Game | Format | Available From |
|---|---|---|
| American Roulette | Live dealer table | 4pm daily |
| Blackjack | Live dealer table | 4pm daily |
| Texas Hold’em Poker | Cash games and tournaments | 4pm daily |
| Three Card Poker | Live dealer table | 4pm daily |
| Baccarat | Live dealer table | 4pm daily |
| Electronic Roulette | HYDRA E-Table terminals | 12:00 midday |
One practical point to sort out before you set off: we work to a smart-casual dress code and our team enforces it at the door. Sportswear and clothing that feels too casual for a casino can mean you are refused entry, so planning your outfit ahead of time usually saves you a wasted trip.
Poker at Fountain Park
Texas Hold’em cash games run here seven days a week, following standard UK casino practice for a dedicated poker offering. Tournaments are scheduled on a regular basis as well, including some larger events that bring in players from across Scotland, not only the usual Edinburgh crowd. The poker area is laid out as its own space inside the floor, separate from the main mix of live tables, so the atmosphere is a little different and more focused on the card action.
If you are looking to sit in on a cash game or take a seat in a tournament, the process on arrival is fairly familiar:
- Make your way to Fountain Park, 124 Dundee Street, Edinburgh, EH11 1AF.
- At the entrance, be ready to show valid photo ID if our door team request it.
- Go over to the cash desk to exchange your cash for chips before you play.
- Speak with a floor manager about current stakes, waiting lists and any open seats.
- For tournaments it is worth checking the schedule at the desk, or phoning ahead on +44 (0)131 228 4446.
- When the floor manager calls your name, take your seat and settle in.
- If you need to rebuy or top up, do that through the cash desk during your session.
- When you are finished, return to the cash desk and cash out your remaining chips.
There is one small piece of general advice that fits almost any poker room, including ours. If you have never played in that particular room before, pausing to watch a few hands first can help. Getting a sense of the rhythm, the table conversation and the actual stakes before you buy in usually keeps you from jumping into the action too fast.
Slots and Electronic Gaming
Across the main floor we have 37 slot machines, each set up with a minimum return rate of 90% as stated on our official venue page. The line-up includes Starburst, Fishin’ Frenzy, Book of Dead, Cleopatra, Eye of Horus and Reactoonz, so there is a mix of different themes and volatility profiles rather than a single style repeated.
Slot play starts from midday, several hours ahead of the first live table games. If you want a slower start to your visit or you have arrived in the early afternoon, the machines are ready to go. Right beside them you will see the HYDRA E-Tables, which deliver electronic roulette for anyone who likes the format but would rather avoid a live dealer table for part of the evening.
| Gaming Type | Equipment | Available From |
|---|---|---|
| Slot machines | 37 machines, 90% min return | 12:00 midday |
| Electronic Roulette | HYDRA E-Table terminals | 12:00 midday |
| Live dealer tables | Roulette, Blackjack, Poker, Baccarat | 4pm daily |
On-site ATMs are available in line with standard UK casino practice, and several of these machines are free to use, so you are not paying a fee before you even reach a game. All gaming on the floor is handled in GBP, with chips issued and redeemed through the cash desk in the usual way.
